These terms govern the use of arcoappraisers.org, the website of the Arkansas Coalition of Appraisers (“ARCOA”). By using the site you accept them. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site.

What this website is

A public information service run by a non-profit business league for its members and for anyone looking for a qualified appraiser in Arkansas. It publishes coalition news, resources, governing documents, a board roster and a member directory.

The member directory is a referral tool, not a recommendation

The directory and the county map exist so that someone ordering an appraisal can find members who work in a given county. That is all they do.

A listing is not an endorsement. ARCOA does not vet, supervise, rate or warrant the competence, independence or work product of any member. Membership means someone joined a coalition and paid dues; it is not a certification and it is not a guarantee of anything.

Listings are supplied by members. Credentials, license numbers, counties covered and contact details are what the member told us. We publish them in good faith and we do not independently verify them.

Verify the license yourself. Appraiser credentials in Arkansas are issued and administered by the Arkansas Appraiser Licensing and Certification Board, and current license status should be confirmed with that Board — not with us — before you engage anyone.

Any agreement you reach with a member is between you and that member. ARCOA is not a party to it, takes no fee from it, and has no role in any dispute arising from it.

Articles, resources, summaries of legislation and regulatory news on this site are published for general information. They are not legal advice, not appraisal advice, and not an authoritative statement of USPAP or of state or federal regulation. Read the source, and take proper advice before you act.

How you may not use the site

The member directory exists to be read by people looking for an appraiser. It does not exist to be mined. You may not:

• Collect, harvest, scrape or copy member names, email addresses, telephone numbers or any other contact details, whether by hand or by any automated means
• Use anything obtained from this site to send unsolicited commercial email, marketing, recruitment approaches or sales calls to our members
• Compile, reproduce or redistribute the directory, or any substantial part of it, as a list or database
• Use automated systems to access the site in a way that burdens it, or attempt to gain access to any part of it you are not authorized to reach
• Impersonate a member, the coalition or any of its officers
• Post or send anything unlawful, defamatory or infringing

We take this seriously. Our members joined a coalition that advocates for appraiser independence; they did not consent to becoming a marketing list.

What members submit

When you send us a directory listing or other material for publication you confirm that it is accurate and yours to give, and you give ARCOA permission to publish it on this website and in coalition materials. You keep ownership of it. We may edit it for length, clarity or house style, may decline to publish it, and may remove it — and so may you, at any time, by telling us.

Our content and our name

The text, layout, photographs and design of this site belong to ARCOA or are used with permission. The name “Arkansas Coalition of Appraisers”, the initials “ARCOA” and the ARCOA seal identify the organization and may not be used to suggest membership, endorsement or affiliation that does not exist. Members in good standing may use the seal in the ways the board permits.

Quote us, link to us and share what we publish. Please do not republish it wholesale as your own.

Links to other sites

We link to the National Association of Appraisers, to state and federal regulators and to other outside resources because they are useful. We do not control them and we are not responsible for what they say or do.

Availability, warranties and liability

We work to keep the site accurate and available, but we provide it “as is”. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that everything on it is current — regulation changes faster than any website.

To the fullest extent the law allows, ARCOA and its officers, directors and volunteers are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of this site or from reliance on anything published here, including any dealing with a member found through the directory.

Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arkansas, and the courts of Arkansas are the proper venue for any dispute about them.

Changes

We may revise these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed, and continuing to use the site means accepting the current version.
